Ventilating (Knotting) Training
Learn the skill that separates ordinary wig makers from professionals. Ventilating is how premium, natural-looking wigs are made by hand — and once you know it, you can charge serious money for it.
Seats are limited per class. First to pay, first confirmed.
What This Training Covers
This is a full-day, hands-on course where you learn to ventilate — which means knotting individual strands of hair into a lace base by hand. It is the technique used in premium, bespoke, and medical wigs. You will practise throughout the day with real materials, get one-on-one correction, and leave with a piece you made yourself.
No experience needed. All you need is focus and a willingness to learn.

Why This Skill Is Worth Learning
Most Wig Makers Cannot Do It
Ventilating is not taught widely. Most people selling wigs are buying ready-made units. If you can ventilate, you are in a different category entirely.
Premium Prices Are Normal
Hand-ventilated wigs sell from R4,500 to R18,000+. Custom medical and bespoke wigs can go higher. Your price is set by your skill, not the market.
Medical & Bespoke Demand
Cancer patients, alopecia clients, and people wanting fully custom pieces all need someone who can ventilate. This market is underserved in South Africa.
You Can Charge After One Client
The course costs R3,500. One ventilated wig or closure sells for more than that. Your investment is recovered on your very first job.
How Much Ventilated Wigs Sell For
These are real prices in the South African and international wig market. Once you can ventilate, this is what you can charge.
Prices reflect the South African market and vary based on hair quality, complexity, and your positioning.
Everything in Your Wig Kit
